My name is Matthias Fleckenstein.
I am Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business and Economics. My research focuses on asset pricing, valuation, and risk management in fixed income markets and has been published in the Journal of Finance, and the Review of Financial Studies.
After obtaining my Ph.D. in Finance at UCLA in 2013, I joined Cornerstone Research, a leading economic and financial consulting firm where I worked on complex financial issues arising in litigation, including securities class actions and antitrust matters in derivatives markets. I also have Masters’ Degrees in Quantitative Finance, Business Administration, and Industrial Engineering and Management.
For my joint work with Francis Longstaff and Hanno Lusting on the TIPS markets, I have received a Distinguished Paper award as part of the Amundi Smith Breeden Prize for the best paper in the Journal of Finance on capital markets.
My research interests include Fixed Income Markets, Asset Pricing, Credit Risk, and Derivatives.
