Matthias Fleckenstein is Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business and Economics. His research interests are asset pricing, valuation, and risk management in fixed income markets and his work has been published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Finance and the Review of Financial Studies.
Prior to joining the faculty at the Lerner College of Business and Economics, he was with Cornerstone Research in New York where he worked in litigation consulting involving valuation of assets, including commodities-linked instruments and other exchange traded and OTC products such as Credit Default Swaps, Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate products.
Matthias holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the Anderson School at UCLA, as well as Masters’ Degrees in Financial Engineering, Business Administration, and Industrial Engineering. He has experience teaching at the undergraduate, MBA, and executive education levels
